Currently, each bot only has 1 AP / turn. Easier to balance but much more boring and stiff. Each turn should be a micro plan and by having only 1 AP, the player's freedom is very low. It leads to reaction instead of planning because the enemies won't wait for you. #strategygame

Took a break and played some games today. I can't play normally anymore and I focused on UI or specific interactions that are similiar to my game. I think, to develop a good game it helps to have played a lot. You just get a feeling for what is right or wrong. #gamedev #indiedev

In each turn, you have multiple decisions to make: 1. Access a main panel - requires hacking ability 2. Open / close the door - requires energy 3. Toggle an energy shield - requires energy 4. Attack 5. Reload Monsters attack continuously so you need to find a good window.

It's done! I switched from real-time to turnbased. Today, I created a new trailer und updated my Steam page. Although I am a bit scared to change something so drastric after such a long development time, I feel happy with the change and I think it was the right thing to do.

Day 3 of switching from real-time to turn-based. The game was always about making tough decisions under pressure and turn-based can enable that while real-time mostly creates pressure. Also integrated a much better Fog of War system. #indiedev #gamedev #stategygame #turnbased

Still not sure if it's going to be real-time or turn-based. All systems and mechanics have progressed, so I'm testing turn-based once again. Expeditions are always about performing tasks under pressure. But I think tough decisions can rather be made in turn-based. #indiedev
