Most of the leaks I read about #HouseOfTheDragon weren’t true and were purely rage baiting to get engagement and those on their side about how negative they feel about the show. While the ones that are indeed true aren’t as bad as you would think once you see them in context. Unfortunately, so much of the fandom has made up their minds already that the show is cooked and any deviation from Martin’s source material is enough to justify their reasoning. While I sympathize with the purists, having read Fire & Blood myself, if I had not ever read it I would still think this was a damn good season of television so far.
There’s a certain satisfaction in watching a show succeed after so many were convinced it wouldn’t

why are men so afraid to admit they’re playing shitty men they don’t even get half the hate actresses do for playing a mildly annoying woman
“i don’t want him (daemon) to be seen as a bad guy” well matt… he killed his wife, groomed his niece, married her, abused her, wanted her throne but realized he wouldn’t win bc everyone knows he’d be a terrible king and had to trip balls at harrenhal to see the error of his ways

“Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke share more fiery exchanges in S3’s first half than they have since S1’s time jump. If HotD is truly about [Rhaenyra and Alicent], as Ryan Condal has claimed in the past, S3 goes a long way to realigning the show around that idea.” — Games Radar

Imagine if they had HRT in westeros… Daemon would’ve fulfilled his dream of being Viserys’ sisterwife and Rhaenyra would be normal

"Will you blame me ONLY" there's a keyword here before the thinkpieces start, she's admitting the part she played, before yall start acting like she's acting blameless

“A particular exchange between them contains one of the season’s most interesting observations when Alicent asks: “Will you blame me only for what men have done?” It’s a line that lingers because it captures the complicated situation they have both been navigating for years.” thepeoplesmovies.com/house-o…

“With a scene partner as brilliant as Olivia Cooke to frequently bounce off of, D'Arcy's Emmy-worthy performance further emphasizes that building this show around both stars was the only way to go.”
