Today marks the 86th anniversary of the founding of St. Clare College, which preceded Cardinal Stritch College and Cardinal Stritch University. More than 40,000 Stritch alumni are transforming the communities where they live, work, serve and lead.

At a June 2 Mass of Thanksgiving we celebrated the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi & Cardinal Stritch University. Fr. Jim Lobacz, who served at Stritch for 12 years, reminded us that the University's treasure is in all of its students, faculty, staff, alumni, partners & friends.

Stritch has announced Dr. Marna Boyle, Cheri Frey-Hartel and Sr. Barbara Reynolds, SDS, were awarded faculty emerita status and rank. Congratulations Marna, Cheri & Sister Barbara! Thank you for all you did for our students and your colleagues during your remarkable careers.

A Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated Friday, June 2, at 1 p.m. in the Kliebhan Conference Center. Following the Mass, select campus spaces will be open for people to visit from 2-5 p.m. Please RSVP to communications@stritch.edu if you are planning to join us.

The Stritch Class of 2023 was celebrated at our Commencement Mass this afternoon. Graduates received San Damiano crosses and the alumni pins that will be distributed at tomorrow's Commencement Ceremony were blessed.

A final Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated in the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel Monday. Retired faculty member Father Steve Lampe reminded all who gathered that Stritch's impact on our community will continue long after the University closes later this year.

Congratulations to senior Sophia Hey who was named the co-winner in the Poetry category in national Delta Epsilon Sigma Writing Competition for her poem “You Are Home.” Sophia is a double major in English: Writing and Theater and will graduate this month with a bachelor’s degree.
