Being a lawyer right now is so funny. Because like, I can completely see why people are reading the rules and seeing things happen and going “that’s not in the rules”…but my sick and twisted education has me going well TECHNICALLY….

Nobody said that ALL contracts signed in this stage HAD to be either an EFO or an FPO. Everyone assumed that (including me originally)…but that’s not actually what it said

EFOs and FPOs can only be signed in phase 2. BUT, not all contracts signed in phase 2 MUST be either an EFO or an FPO (see: Jenner)

what an odd way to describe cheating on the mother of your two toddler children and having her find out about her own divorce through the press as she was coming off the field from practice. 0 world cup minutes played btw not sure what’s warranting a documentary here

Call me crazy but I think it’s probably good for workers to get some say in whether or not their boss is a good boss and should continue to be their boss

if a coach so thoroughly loses a room that a GM sees any value in going into literally the absolute worst nightmare offseason of all time WITHOUT a coach…the problem probably was not that a handful of players were irritated with the coach

If you have questions about the PWHL expansion process you can reply and I’ll try to answer em. I feel like there’s been a lot of (extremely understandable) confusion

I think it’s great that fans are so engaged in the expansion process that emotions are high. Being invested that way is important for the sport. And, I also think if your standards for women’s sports are higher than the standards you hold men’s sports to, that’s misogyny

If you’re not going to hold your NHL teams to the same standard as your PWHL teams, you need to understand that “I expect more from women than I do from men” is misogynistic. Inherently

There are things that men’s sports can learn from women’s sports just like women’s sports have borrowed from men’s. Maybe the NBA shouldn’t have an open locker room media policy. For SURE, the players associations should get to decide- for any league of any gender.
It still remains wholly ridiculous that the WNBA doesn’t have an open locker room media policy. The only major sport in the U.S. that doesn’t have it. Bad for the fans and the growth of the game.

WNBA players decided, collectively, they didn’t want media in their locker rooms. All player unions should get to have a voice on this issue, imo! Would be interesting to see how each league would feel about it.

Unironically belongs in the Hall of Fame.
Benoǐt Allaire, the Rangers longtime coach, is retiring after the draft and free agency, per a league source. He has been with the organization since July 2004. He had stepped back from day-day coaching in summer 2024 but remained director of goaltending.

I think if you are not from Ontario you should be quiet and listen to the people from Ontario when they talk about Hamilton vs. Toronto.

I’m not confirming anything (I know as much as you do), but I’m sick of seeing people from random American cities say they Hamilton is “splitting the Toronto market” as if they have any idea what they’re talking about. Sometimes it’s not your turn to talk

For context if you’re American like me and interested in actually understanding the nuance, Hamilton/Toronto is like NJ/NYC each having a team. Try telling someone from NJ that they’re not culturally distinct from NYC and lmk how that goes.
