ما تقوم به حكومة خادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي عهده الأمين -حفظهم الله- في خدمة ضيوف الرحمن أمرٌ غير مسبوق في التاريخ، سُخّر له الغالي والنفيس. فلهم من القلوب والجوارح دعاءٌ بالصحة والسلامة، وأن يجزيهم الله عن الإسلام والمسلمين خير الجزاء. قصة قصيرة من ميدان العطاء: في يوم عرفة، وصل إلى معمل القسطرة المتنقل بمستشفى شرق عرفات حاجٌ سبعيني فاقدًا للوعي. شُخّصت حالته باعتلال في نبضات القلب، فقمتُ بتركيب منظم نبضات مؤقت له على الفور. وخلال دقائق، نُقل جوًّا عبر الإخلاء الجوي التابع لوزارة الدفاع إلى مدينة الملك عبدالله الطبية لتركيب منظم دائم. اقول لكم : هذا غيض من فيض فما بالكم ببقية زملائي وبقية القطاعات المشاركه في الحج بتناغم في منتهى الدقه. اللهم بحق اسمك العظيم الذي لا يُردّ من دعاك به، أنزل على بلادنا الأمن والأمان والحفظ والرعاية، واحفظ لنا ديننا وبلادنا وولاة أمرنا. د. وائل القشقري

احمد الله واشكره على جزيل نعمه. فقد اكرمني الله بأن اكون مسئول عن تشغيل معمل قسطرة القلب بمستشفى الطوارئ بالحرم المكي الشريف وان اقوم بعمل اول عدد من حالات القسطره القلبيه الحرجه، وتدريب وتهيئة الفريق المكلف على كيفية استخدام جهاز قسطرة القلب المتنقل. ما كان مستحيل في السابق اصبح واقعا بفضل الإراده والتخطيط السليم وتكاتف الجهود. اول قسطره بالتاريخ تعمل في ساحة الحرم سيظل وسام على صدري. اشكر سعادة الدكتور عادل طاش المدير التنفيذي لمدينة الملك عبدالله الطبية بمكه المكرمه واخي الدكتور احمد سمان مدير مركز القلب بالمدينة على الثقه الغاليه وهذا التكريم. وإني ادعوا الله مخلصا بان يحفظ ولاة امرنا ومملكتنا الغاليه

We honored Dr. Terry King for his pioneering work when he did the first Transcatheter closure of an ASD in 1975! His work paved the way to what we do today in the field of interventional congenital and structural cardiology!
