Gutted! Our love, Thoughts an our prayers are with Joanne jack and Jess. Rip Wayne. Way too soon to be saying this. Tragic.
We are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Wayne Helliwell. A friendly face around the oval tracks for many, many years. From finding his feet in ministox to racing BriSCA F1. More recently supporting son Jack with his racing career.

What a load of crap!
🚨 Sir Jim Ratcliffe: "If I actually look at the squad which is available to Rúben Amorim, I think he is doing a really good job to be honest”, told BBC. “Amorim is an outstanding young manager. He's an excellent manager and I think he will be at Man United for a long time”.

reading the stockcar vet’s newsletter. The origins of “Rinky dink” as a starting music at stockcars and who was responsible for it being played and when. Love these pieces on the sports history. Never knew this!

Parents should be allowed to take their children out of school for a very limited number of days per year, over reasons they choose. Let's show a bit of common sense here. The prices are so wildly different out of term time, it is often the difference between a family being able to afford a decent holiday abroad, or not go at all. Will a child missing a week of school a year damage their education? Perhaps, a little. Will that quality time spent with their family more than compensate? Yes, yes it will. And that is a decision for the parents to take, not the state. I have pushed the Department on this, with zero progress. They just don't want to know. Let's remember - MPs have very generous time off from Westminster, timed to coincide with the school holidays. Others do not have that same luxury, particularly in areas that are reliant on tourism - like my constituency All of this from the same people who shut schools for months when the virus posed almost zero risk to children, and were desperate to do it for longer. Forcing boys and girls to learn from a kitchen table, and many had no access to proper outdoor space. THAT did far more damage to children's education than a few days away in the sun with their family. PLEASE. Let's just show a modicum of common sense, FOR ONCE. If parents want to take their child out of school for a limited period of time, very occasionally, as they believe that experience will benefit their son or daughter? I say that's their choice.

Ed Miliband, Energy Secretary and bacon sandwich industry detractor, has announced that ALL rental homes will have to conform to EPC C. The Dale Vince’s of this world will be suitably orgasmic at this policy however what are the implications for landlords, councils and tenants? Ah yes, the consequences of ideology… less thought through than these things should be. There are 4.6 million homes in the private rental sector. 56% of these do not meet EPC C and will need retrofitting. The estimated cost is £10,000 per property. In the social rent sector there are 4.4 million homes. A similar 56% of councils and social landlords/HAs will face retrofit costs. That’s a total of about £50 billion. Where will this have to come from? Ultimately, from increased rents (so tenants) and tax payers. As a country that contributes 1% of global emissions and whereby reducing the rental sector’s carbon footprint will make no difference to the overall environment, is asking tenants and tax payers to stump up £50 billion a sensible move? I think you know my view. propertyindustryeye.com/mili…
