[announcement] the day has come it’s with a heavy heart that we come here to announce: we’ll be winding down subs.fun a few months ago, we launched subs because we truly believed in the idea that tokenizing interests could unlock new ways to create, connect, and build value on the internet it was about experimenting, learning, and seeing how far we could go with the right people around and we did go far subs grew organically, with a few thousand users, over 72k posts, $35M in volume traded on sub coins, and one of the most chaotic, fun, and deeply online communities we could’ve asked for our original vision was to build a launchpad for tokenized forums. but once you mix tokens with social, you end up having to build an entire social layer too and that’s a much bigger journey. one we’re not ready to take all the way, at least not right now so, it’s time to wrap it up but not just yet you can still post and say your goodbyes until July 31st, and can withdraw funds anytime over the next 60 days just wanted to let you know. not an easy moment thank you to everyone who traded, posted, hyped and believed in the thesis (also thanks for hanging out with the intern) you made this ride unforgettable see you on the next weird corner of the internet — the @subsdotfun team
