We have an announcement to make... After 7 years, we're closing @elevantiq — the agency that funded Vendure's development. Not because we failed. Because Vendure deserves our complete focus. 🧵

Replying to @nextjs
@nextjs is good, but the learning curve is steep, and the DX, unless you memorise the docs, can be rough. I made an extension in hopes of making it easier by providing you with Intellisense in your NextJS files.

A well-designed platform anticipates this. Its architecture is built to adapt to evolving needs without requiring a complete overhaul of core functionality. Which is a fundamental idea in Vendure's design.

Last night at @viennajs: give a talk about dotfiles and key bindings and you are guaranteed to get swarmed by devs for the rest of the evening 😂 Great talk by @sudo_Housein

Our local hero @sudo_Housein will tell us more about improving the development environment at @viennajs
The first speaker today on our stage is @pichsenmeister flying in all the way from SFO. He was also kind enough to bring several copies of his new book for our raffle.

Tutorials and documentation hit different when you're experienced. While planning the upcoming React storefronts for @vendure_io , one of the most important question that I have to get right is: "What makes this a foundation that others can or would want to actually build on?"

But here's the thing: I'm not consuming it for the syntax anymore, I know that already, I'm looking at the patterns and at the why behind the decisions. Already understanding the low-level helps me understand the bigger picture.

Having wrestled with the fundamentals and the low-level workings of whatever stack I am using, tutorials now give me the architectural - a "cheat-sheet" in a sense.
