Don't let people change your assignment to fulfil there own objectives simply because God has promoted you through his grace bestowed upon you. You are anointed for a specific purpose and you must stay the course. Do not leverage into other things he didn't assign you to. Stay focused. Distraction is the enemy of scaling/multiplication. Nobody knew you when you are struggling, many even despised you but once you start getting major results, they evaluate you thinking of how they can use your influence or resources to serve their own purpose. Remember it was God who stood by you and strengthened you in the process. The interesting thing is the people may really know who you are and your calling but will seek to force you to do their own bidding. The rule is never get distracted. You can gain the applause of men and be in direct disobedience to God's instructions. Look at what they tried to do to Jesus. Turn an assignment for the redemption of the souls of men into a political movement to contend with the Roman empire. John 6:14-15 "14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. 15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone." Even his closest disciples thought of his assignment in the same light. Lets make this into a political thing. Acts 1:6-8 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
