why on earth would someone who lives in westeros think that their 16 year old dragon riding son would be exempt from his family’s war? otto’s first instinct after being fired was to seek him out, she didn’t think anyone else had that same thought?
"how could alicent not know this would happen😭" because she didn't read fire & blood. because daeron is barely of age and his dragon is young. because there's not been a war in alicent's lifetime and it's natural to expect that children would not be joining armies.
