One month ago, BTS released the record breaking and industry defining album "ARIRANG", an album that combined commercial dominance, global cultural impact, and artistic evolution on a scale rarely seen in modern music history. The GOAT album reached #1 in 132 countries on Apple Music Worldwide, BTS becomes the 1ST Act in history to occupy the whole Top 10 of the BB Global Excl. US and the whole Top 9 of the BB Global 200 simultaneously. They also become the first group and first Asian act to occupy the entire Top 5 simultaneously of Apple Music Global Chart. The album became the fastest by any Asian act to surpass 1.5 billion Spotify streams, it achieved 110 million streams on its first day and 135 million streams in a single day, marking the group’s highest streaming day ever. ARIRANG debuted at #1 on the Spotify Global Album Chart with 525,597,827 filtered streams, while currently with 1.5B streams 8 of it's tracks crossed 100 million streams, making it the first 2026 album to achieve this milestone. The lead single Swim dominated globally, spending 25 days at #1 on Spotify Daily Chart and 4 weeks at #1 on Spotify Weekly Chart. It also earned 14 music show wins in Korea and remained #1 on Apple Music Global Chart for 8 days. while another b-side track “Please” also reached #1, the First Korean Song in history to reach #1 on Apple Music Global Top 100, making ARIRANG the first album with multiple Apple Music Global #1 tracks. In Korea, “Swim” achieved 49 real-time all-kills while dominating all major domestic platforms including Melon, Genie, FLO, and Bugs. On Spotify, BTS became the #1 Global Daily Top Artists for the first time ever, topping 70 markets and recording a 690% increase in first-time listeners. They remained at #1 for 15 days. The album achieved the group’s biggest streaming day and maintained consistent global chart dominance across platforms. On YouTube, “Swim” recorded 33 million views in 24 hours and have now surpassed 100 million views shortly after release. The other 2 tracks music videos of 2.0 and Hooligan also have crossed multiple milestones. On Billboard, Swim debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, while ARIRANG debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. BTS became the first group in history to achieve multiple simultaneous #1 debuts across major Billboard charts, including Hot 100, Billboard 200, Artist 100, Global 200, Global Excl. U.S., Digital Song Sales, World Digital Song Sales, Top Album Sales, and Vinyl Albums. ARIRANG also became the longest-charting #1 album by a group on the Billboard 200 since 2012–13. In the United States, ARIRANG became the fastest album by any Asian act and K-pop act to surpass 1 million units in 25 days, alongside the biggest vinyl sales week in Nielsen history with 208,000 units. Globally, ARIRANG reached #1 in over 90 iTunes regions, while Swim reached #1 in 101 countries. On Spotify, the album debuted at #1 in 34 countries and topped weekly charts in multiple regions worldwide. The album also achieved extensive global weekly chart dominance, reaching #1 in Australia, Austria, Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and US Billboard 200, along with multiple #2 and #3 positions across Europe including Denmark, Finland, Greece, Sweden, and Italy. It also secured #15 in Nigeria. Monthly charts reflected continued dominance, with #1 positions in Japan and South Korea . ARIRANG’s comeback live event attracted 104,000 attendees in Seoul, marking the largest public concert in Korea and 18.4 million Netflix live viewers, becoming biggest live event by a music act on Netflix.
