The ease with which Liberia scored these 3 goals, and going past the right back and central defenders must be a real concern for @SLFA_sl and the new coach. There is no excuse for such poor defending.

The death is announced of Manir Jacob, one of my uncles and mentors, whose service to @SLFA_sl in the 70s and 80s influenced my sacrifice to football in Sierra Leone. UNCLE MANIR and the great Alhaji Demba Hajj managed Kenema District F.C. for nearly 2 decades. May his soul RIP.

With the @SLFA_sl @Orange_sierra FA CUP finals 2 weeks away between the 2 oldest clubs in Sierra Leone, @mightyblackpool and @EELions, the sponsors and the FA should design a special badge with inscription "SLFA ORANGE FA CUP FINALS 2026" and teams forced to stich it on kits.

3 people I do not envy in Sierra Leone today - Minister of Sports, President of @SLFA_sl Babadi Kamara and New Leone Stsrs coach Didier Gomes. The public sympathy for @mohamed_kallon3 has added incredible pressure. The backlash is unimaginable. I really feel sorry for them

Making comparisons between @mohamed_kallon3 and Didier Gomez is uncalled for. Personally I support home based coaches and @mohamed_kallon3 for me should have continued. Gomez has done nothing to deserve the backlash. He applied & accepted a job. He has a good CV. Wish him well.

Some write up on new Leone Stars coach
The @SLFA_sl has appointed a very experienced and successful coach, at club level within the continent. Exrremely reliable sources in Botswana have praised him aa a "good coach and a good person". There is reason for optimism. We wish the @SLFA_sl new coach the best of luck.

With @FIFAWorldCup matter of days away, we in Africa are optimistic of multiple teams advancing way beyond group stages. From all @Cafonline1 reps, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Senegal seem most likely to escape group stage, with Morocco my pick to go furthest.

Ghana, Brazil, Rwanda, Singapore and India have all at one time appointed their technical directors or youth technical teams, to tale temporal control of National Teams during transition periods. We need not just criticise. Let us understand before we oppose.

Nothing wrong if @SLFA_sl appoints their Technical Director, John Keister as temporal.manager of Leone Srars. ENGLAND did same with Howard Wilkinson in the early 2000s. In fact Wilkinson even managed a Euro 2000 qualifier against Finland before the late Sven G Erikson took over.

With 14 days (2 weeks) to @FIFAWorldCup here is a bold prediction from heart and mind, yes my heart wants it and my mind believes it. @FRMFOFFICIEL Moroccan National Team will reign supreme in the 2026 World Cup. If my country, Sierra Leone, was not on travel ban I will be there.

Of all the airports i had to travek through over the weekend, freetown, Morocco, Gambia and Ghana, only Lungi International Airport demanded every passenger be tested for temeprature and used hand sanitizer. Well done to Lungi Intetnational airport.

Today more than ever I realise the importance of a very efficient and well managed ferry system. Using a water taxi from Lungi to Freetown, the water is so rough I am scared. Thank God I hear the @julius_maadabio Govt has made ferry services a priority. Please God we get it soon.

Seeing the Turkish company construct the conference center and Presidential Villas at Lungi is a wonderful sight. Progress is rapid and there seems no doubt they will complete by the Ecowas Conference scheduled for July 2026.
