I Have received the news of the death of Dokolo District Woman MP, Cecil Ogwal, with deep sadness. She has carried out her public duties with decency and focus. My condolences to her family and friends. RIP. CPM
A STRONG VOICE GONE SILENT!
My first interaction with Hon Cecilia Ogwal was in the 1990s - the early days of my political activism. We worked closely during the late Dr PK Simogerere's 1996 presidential campaigns. She commanded a lot of respect. She was a household name who had been christined "Iron lady" by the mass media because she spoke with clarity on issues affecting this our motherland. Every time she picked a microphone, she was speaking country and people.
When I joined @Parliament_Ug 2011, she was among the senior legislators that we looked up to. She led us as Chief Opposition Whip and later on as Parliamentary Commissioner.
She was a rare breed of politician because you would not be ashamed of what she would speak.
Deep commiserations to her family and the people of Lango, more particularly Dokolo District that she represented in Parliament.
Requiescat in Pace.
This is why I respect Dr @kizzabesigye1 , I will never insult him or insult anyone who sacrificed his life for this nation. Dr Besigye left his job that was paying him 2m and decided to join NRA to fight and liberate his country.
I disagree with whoever disrespects these heros .
๐ฃ๏ธ| @FabrizioRomano on Kylian Mbappe: โDespite some big headlines, I honestly have absolutely no news on any English clubs being in talks to sign Mbappe. If something will happen in the next months we will say that, but at this point Iโve absolutely zero information on this one. Real Madrid are always very well informed on Mbappe; Iโm not aware of anything else at this point.โ [@caughtoffside] #afc
