i think it might be “underrated” maybe because of something realllly stupid it was when like 50% of ppl (pulling this number out of my ass lol) listened to dubstep on soundcloud, and there was this soundcloud bandit bastard that was issuing automatic copyright take downs of a bunch of peoples music claiming it was theirs, which would remove the songs from the platform before you were able to contest the takedown. they in particular were targeting a lot of my big songs on release for no reason other than fuck me i guess, and at the time soundcloud was really bad at fixing the policy and reinstating the track and this issue lasted the whole year of 2018. this caused me to massively crashout on twitter in the fall lol and basically say that soundcloud should basically be boycotted until they fix this issue cus it was basically making the platform unusable for me and it actually gained a lot of traction with multiple other artists agreeing and saying similar things. eventually they fixed the auto take down policy. they have since gotten so much better at dealing with things like this however, i feel like it really fucked my momentum up on some of my biggest songs that year. junkworld was removed a couple hours into being released and it took a very long time to be reinstated; and angel style was removed as well and actually had accumulated like 100,000 plays after only like a day of being up which was pretty significant on a dubstep song. fun fact, to this day angel style STILL hasn’t been put back up since the bullshit claim. kinda crazy. but yeah i think for those songs specifically that had a lot of traction initially, people forgot or were less hyped about them after not being able to listen to them within a dayish of them being released. obviously speculating but it was extremely frustrating at the time

i find it very interesting when people complain about music cus if u kno what u dont like, than just make your own without that if u make yourself breakfast & dont like toast, why would you consume toast if u go to a restaurant & dont like toast, dont go to the toast store
