Mind you SHE was a victim of her clan too, being apart of the main branch doesn’t mean she didn’t experience her own form of suffering we literally learn this during their fight and nejis fight with Naruto, by the time the war came the hyuga clan wasn’t divided NEJI CHOSE TO DIE.

I never liked Hinata. And not just because of her obsession with Naruto. I don’t like her because of the whole situation with Neji and the Hyuga clan. Girly was thinking about how big and strong Naruto’s hands were next to her cousin’s dead body.
