Hey, just to provide some additional context on this situation. We absolutely don't want to discourage a young player from pursuing something they enjoy. However, our Terms & Conditions clearly state that users under the age of 13 cannot create or use a FACEIT account due to the legal and regulatory obligations associated with providing online services to children. Once we become aware of an underage account, we are required to take action. This action is not a judgement on the player's ability or potential. It is simply a matter of complying with the rules and legal responsibilities that apply to our platform. We look forward to welcoming him back to FACEIT when he meets the minimum age requirements, just as we have done in similar situations in the past, such as with DaBoy.

Detecting AI cheats has been one of FACEIT's biggest focuses in 2026. Recently, several of our anti-cheat developers, data scientists, and staff spent two days at the @Google London office, building on that work alongside their engineers. We collaborated with Google's team to evolve two of our current approaches: 1. Training models on past matches where our anti-cheat confirmed players cheated, learning to recognize similar patterns elsewhere. 2. Modelling what normal play looks like to flag behavior that sits outside it. FACEIT processes millions of CS2 matches a month, with years of high-level gameplay on record. That scale creates a foundation our detection models can learn from. Before these techniques can be applied to the full FACEIT player base, there is still more work to do. We're running new behavioral analysis in the next months, building an automated pipeline of confirmed-cheating data for our models to learn from, and improving how we capture more supporting data for the context of kills. We will continue to collaborate with Google’s engineers and share more information as these detection methods are rolled out across the platform.

AI cheats are the most-banned cheat category, with detections up 272% in Season 7 (372 total bans). Meanwhile, DMA-related bans dropped by 4%. IOMMU/VBS hardware enforcement now covers 88% of players, helping block how DMA cheats read game files.

We have shipped a fix across all FACEIT servers for an exploit using the CS2 console command "sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview". This stops players from exploiting the command to see enemy positions through the grenade camera.

Season 8 begins today at 13:00 CEST. Before you queue, make sure you have subscribed to Cache on the Steam Workshop. The map download can sometimes take longer than the match connect window, pre-downloading Cache reduces the risk of timing out and missing your game.

We banned over 23,000 smurf accounts today ahead of tomorrow's Season 8 launch. If you lost to any of these accounts in your last 100 matches (within the last three months), your Elo will be restored today. This ensures a fairer start for your placement matches tomorrow.

Platinum and higher tier Premium subscribers now receive enough tokens to stand in for one ESEA League match each month. If your team is missing a player, rather than forfeit you can bring in an stand-in without them needing to pay for a full season subscription.

Seasonal Profile Badges are coming for all players in Season 8. Start on April 22 and progress your badge based on wins and level, to archive your Season's progress with a final badge shown on your profile.
