After last night’s Maine Senate primary, supporting Democratic nominee Graham Platner is not optional. Let’s talk about it:
As ruthless pragmatists, the Swing Left community fights to win Democratic majorities that will swing the national balance of power. The winner of this race could easily determine control of the Senate through 2032 and with it, the ability of a future Democratic president to govern, of democratic institutions to recover and thrive, and of a nation to move beyond the devastating policies of MAGA extremism.
That’s why we are all in on defeating incumbent Senator Susan Collins in Maine and electing Graham Platner. Maine voters have made their choice—our responsibility is clear.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Republicans flipped this Lehigh Valley seat in 2024 by just 4,602 votes
- Freshman incumbent Rep. Ryan Mackenzie tries to present as a moderate, but attacked the Affordable Care Act and voted for the Trump tariffs that have destroyed jobs in the district

- As a firefighter of 20 years, he runs into harm’s way to help his neighbors
