The world is changing so fast that sometimes I wonder what we are slowly losing in the process. Family used to feel like something solid, something that held people together through everything. Now it feels like everyone is learning to stand alone first, before they learn how to stay together.
Independence is good, growth is necessary, and people should be able to build their own lives. But there is also something quietly fading in how we relate with family. The small things matter more than we realize. Checking on people without being reminded. Sitting together without everyone being on their phone. Feeling responsible for each other in a real way, not just when it is convenient.
Now, many people are busy building their own paths, which is not wrong, but in the process, family bonds sometimes become optional instead of foundational. It is like everyone is connected but still emotionally far away.
Maybe it is just evolution, maybe it is just life moving forward. But I hope that as the world changes, we do not completely lose the value of togetherness that once made family feel like home, not just a word we use for relatives.
