In August @IAbdul10 gave us a talk on "Accessibility in Product Design". (Linked on this thread)
He did another insightful case study on the accessibility of the @SafaricomPLC M-Pesa app and suggested solutions.

However, for Dennis, our tester, who is visually impaired, challenges arose.Navigation through sections of the M-PESA app that couldn’t be read by the screen reader posed difficulties. These sections included send/request money, pay, withdraw, airtime buttons, my spend and scan buttons along with the mini app buttons. The buttons when clicked, read out “button” instead of their actual label when read by the screen reader. This means that blind users are unable to differentiate the buttons displayed on the screen and also ultimately can not complete their desired action. We presume that this issue arises from incorrect labeling of these buttons within the app’s code.

Also, we observed that Dennis couldn’t identify advertisement stories within the app because they had no ALT text & hence couldn’t be read by the screen reader, and the blurred account balance made it inaccessible to the Dennis to know his balance. Dennis concluded that he could not use the app at all and that it was inaccessible to him.
Just learn some buzzwords and keep going the way you are. You will find people on the same level as you, some worse and some way better. Regardless, you will realize this is just a learning journey with no end.
Keep showing up and post your work consistently. Don't be swayed by metrics whether people likes or comments doesn't matter. People are watching... keep at it
