Historically you needed surgery just to diagnose it (incisions are made in the abdomen). We're doing a non-invasive route. Typically women live with endometriosis for 7-10 years before being diagnosed. It’s the leading reason women aged 30 to 34 get hysterectomies (permanent surgery to entirely remove the uterus). This condition is where endometrial-like tissue starts growing outside the uterus, in ovaries, bowel, bladder, even the diaphragm. This tissue inflames, scars, and glues organs together. Our first step is to find out if @_katetolo has it. Initial measurements we’re doing: trans vaginal ultrasound pelvic MRI w and w/o contrast hormonal labs All during the early part of her cycle to get the clearest picture. During her ultrasound, a slim probe, about the width of two fingers, 10-12 inches long (although only a small portion is inserted) is covered with a protective sheath and lubricant and gently inserted into the vagina (patient has to empty their bladder first). This creates real-time images of the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding pelvic structures. While inserted, the probe is turned 90 degrees to evaluate all the various structures, angles and views. There is no radiation exposure. The technician is looking for scarring, ovarian cysts, adhesions, and for organs that are fused together with tissue. This ultrasound can confirm endometriosis but it cannot rule it out. What endo does to the body: 90% report pelvic pain 50% report severe fatigue 26% report infertility. However many sources cite 30 to 50 percent. 50% experience pain during sex. Many have pain with ovulation, bowel movements, and urination Severe bloating called “endo belly” where the abdomen visibly distends There are a handful of theories about why endometriosis develops but the honest answer is no one is quite sure. We’ll keep you posted on her results.

Well, that escalated quickly. There’s been a wave of claims by cheaters about Vanguard “bricking” their PCs, so let’s clear that up: Vanguard does not damage hardware or disable your devices. The photo we posted is a picture of cheat hardware devices that are sold explicitly for cheating in VALORANT (not normal PCs or PC components). Through our latest updates, Vanguard now makes those devices worthless for VAL, but does not in any way brick PCs or PC components or PC software. Our latest update enforces standard platform security features, like the Input-Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU), on accounts identified as using Direct Memory Access (DMA) cheating devices. These protections are already part of modern systems and when enabled, they block DMA cheat devices (such as those shown in the photo) from accessing memory in downstream applications, like our games. If a cheat setup continues attempting to cheat after those protections are enabled, the system may generate hardware faults or instability. This is expected behavior under IOMMU when attempts are made to read protected memory. Disabling IOMMU allows the cheat device to function again, but IOMMU will still be required to play our games. This means the cheat device won’t work with our games, but your PC isn’t “bricked.” We would not, and cannot, impact your PC’s functionality in any other fashion. This functionality only applies to systems attempting to use DMA cheat devices, and players who are not using DMA-based cheat setups are not affected. We’ll keep investing in anti-cheat to protect competitive integrity, and we’ll keep being as transparent as possible about how those systems work.

They cite being "lied" to about the use of AI, as well as being protective of the "artists" and voice actors for whom AI threatens... WHAT ABOUT THE PROGRAMMERS? WHAT ABOUT THE DEVELOPERS? Generative AI today is used universally in the development of software, and has already led to the loss of many software development jobs, especially for junior-entry level jobs. AI is already in every game, software, website, and yes, even on the backend of Twitch. Oh, but it's a different technology. No. Generative AI, whether it's LLMs with Claude code, or AI art-videos uses the same kind of transformer algorithm. AI is already in tons of games, especially in code, and they don't disclose that just because it's not "art assets". Requiring disclosure only for creative tasks, not for programming, is a double standard. You people don't care about other people's livelihood. You only care about the optics of playing a game on stream or taking sponsors NOW that the drama has unfolded into mainstream discourse. But they don't care that AI is used in Nikke art assets. Or that AI was used in E33. Or that AI is used in the software for all the modern games. AI is transforming how work gets done across EVERY creative and tech industry, just like previous tech waves did. Crashing out about the differences between “creative” and “technical” is stupid when both are replacing/augmenting human labor in exactly parallel ways. TLDR... pretending AI in programming is somehow “different” and harmless while AI in art is an existential threat is pure unadulterated hypocrisy.
