CA boss Todd Greenberg told ACA boss Paul Marsh on Sunday evening there is no support for Marsh' proposal to increase player revenue from 27.5%. The other six conditions the players want met before agreeing to privatisation are: - Ensuring appropriate controls to manage private investors - A reframed commercial rights model - Advancing gender equity - Improving support via the ACA's player development & wellbeing programs - More support for past players via a career ending & serious injury benefit, and - Ongoing improvement to various workplace & contractual condtions. Significant & lengthy meetings today at Cricket Aus HQ. 🏏 The state chairs reached an in-principle agreement to move forward with BBL privatisation via an ‘opt in’ model, subject to clauses. They call it ‘self-determination.’ This is significant as it’s the first time the states keen on the concept have been able to bring NSW along for the journey, even if the Sixers & Thunder wont be sold in phase 1.
