Really pleased my paper (with Paolo Heywood) 'On the problem of continuity' just got accepted by JRAI. It proposes a theory of culture beyond the inventive assumptions that dominate analyses and over-determine ethnography. DM email if you're interested to see the accepted draft.

Loved archaeologist @roseferraby s series Earthworks, a beautiful, lyrical, quietly thoughtful meditation on materials, craft, time, the intimacy of absence and lots besides.

Still can't decide if the schadenfreude of Elon Musk losing however many tens of billions on twitter offsets the mild irritation that academics can no longer self promote, procrastinate and moan so effectively!

Seems like a bit of a deficit of the imagination if going to space is necessary to realise the beauty and fragility of earth etc

I'm currently only brick-curious but these people are *serious*. I met a guy who drove 8 hours just for one particularly rare brick 🧱
