Autistic participants in several studies, have said that they feel increased comfort, ease, and competence when interacting with other Autistic people as compared to neurotypical people (Crompton et al., 2020).
Autistic burnout is extreme long-term exhaustion and overwhelm triggered over time, where the stress of coping with life’s demands exceeds the autistic person’s ability to cope. They may lose the ability to carry out everyday tasks, lose skills they usually have and experience increased sensory difficulties.
How do you try to avoid autistic burnout? Is it something you have to think about too?

Thoughts on the fact that the linked post doesn't actually say they decided not to proceed so much as that it's just not required anymore because the data they were after is now more readily available anyway?
Wish the same would be considered for AIMS-2-TRIAL, a similar, probably bigger study in the EU, with some of the same people, that is trying to do the same type of genetic database. aims-2-trials.eu/2023/08/02/…
Undiagnosed autism is spending your whole life doing things that make you uncomfortable or that are just not "you" (conforming) to avoid being mistreated (bullied) until you're so good at it that when you finally do get diagnosed, people around you don't believe you.
