At the moment, we don't know how much prices will go up as a result of tariffs. There are a lot of conditionals. But if the goal is raise the cost of imports so that people are encouraged to buy American-made goods, I want to tell you a story. 🧵

The tariffs won’t be on the completed shirt, only the yarn.
Quick check of the prices you’re looking at around $1/shirt for the yarn. $4 for HQ.
Assuming everything else was done in non-tariff areas you’re looking at $0.40-$1.60 increase in manufacturing costs.
