Spoke again today with my Pakistani counterpart, @MIshaqDar50, about the evolving security situation in the Gulf region. I thanked Pakistan for its mediation efforts and stressed the importance of protecting civilians and opening the Strait of Hormuz. We both welcomed the extension of the ceasefire and agreed to remain in touch.

DPM/FM underscored Pakistan’s continued efforts toward promoting lasting peace in the region and beyond.
Appreciating the frequent high-level interactions, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening Pakistan–Canada bilateral relations across diverse sectors.
