This is a good point. Iowa State did not respond to Hunter Dekkers getting banned by launching a lawsuit and a PR campaign.
Replying to @tealtonedturtle
@tealtonedturtle @NotJackKemp TC: "20 years ago, the school would say this is against our policy" Iowa St did just that only 3 or years ago. Pretty sure their starting QB lost a season behind it.

"Gambling should be bannable offense unless the player is a gambling addict" doesn't really sound like a tenable situation long term. You'd think a university president would be able to figure that out.
Texas Tech will be appealing the NCAA’s ruling. School President Lawrence Schovanec said in a letter today: “We believe that given the facts and the context of Brendan’s case, the NCAA’s ruling should be reversed or modified. As a generation of college athletes face the legalization and rapid proliferation of sports betting in our country, gambling addiction is rising to the point of epidemic among college aged men in particular.”

it's good podcasters have to read ad's. gives a real window into how honest of a person they are, their lying ability.

I wonder if any team was able to beat that ‘77 Texas team
Traces of Texas reader Sam Thurston kindly sent in this 1977 photo of Earl Campbell ripping the soul out of some poor SMU Mustang defender and just said "College football is 100 days away." Thank you, Sam ... that was a pleasant thought! As for Earl, I looked it up: he gained 213 yards in this game, which Texas won 15-6. 213 yards. If you look closely, you'll see snot flying.😄 As Hank Hill would say, he was a sight to behold, I tell you what. Did you ever see the Tyler Rose play live?

He didn’t make the catch. Celebrating the impulsive thing your outfielder said after a fuck up that cost you runs is such perfect Cubs shit.
The t-shirt vendors outside Wrigley were quick 😂

Here is the resort where Big Ten folks have gathered this week to discuss "unsustainable" spending.
Column from the Big Ten meetings, where the industry’s “unsustainable” rhetoric meets a glistening trophy case. Will we have $80-$90 million football rosters in two years? What will curb the spending? espn.com/college-football/st…

No one watching college football has ever said "I wish this was more like baseball." The sport has never been about staying in the hunt. It's about knowing you can get your throat cut in week 2 because then you care about week 2. espn.com/college-football/st…
