The Royal Family doesn’t live for headlines. They show up, year after year, for the people and the causes they represent. And the people show up for them in return.
Harry, on the other hand, seems determined to prove that he’s still relevant. An Invictus speech released just before Trooping the Colour. An appearance at the NBA Finals. Another attempt to remind the world that he’s important.
Yet somehow, it has the opposite effect.
The more he tries to prove his relevance, the more he exposes how little influence he actually has. Getting headlines is easy. Getting attention is easy.
Getting people to show up for you in this magnitude, simply because they respect what you represent, is much harder.
That’s something Harry can never manufacture, and something he can never replicate.
