We actually have 3 projects in the works right now… which one y’all see first is going to be dependent on a lot of factors, but progress on them is looking awesome 😇 I can’t say right now much about them right now 🤐 We will be upgrading everything to UE5.8 when it fully releases (which we are thinking will be pretty soon) to take advantage of all the new tech. Soon y’all are going to see some crazy stuff out of us and it’s going to be awesome 🤩

We currently have 3 projects in the works Code Ultraviolet and then 2 we have not yet announced. We are fully adapting our development to go forward using the World Partition system in Unreal Engine for the loading and unload of the game world areas, allowing us to expand to open world sized game worlds. We are also getting into the PCG stuff to help scatter things throughout the worlds we build now, specifically stuff like grass, trees, rocks… most of the small stuff while the big or defining stuff is done by hand. Along with that using the Nanite Foliage with the new Voxel LOD type is pretty amazing and allows for a ton of foliage on screen at once. These are the major things so far, right now we are building out the world for UV while the other 2 projects are being prepared to enter production. Overall so far, the jump to an open world map has definitely been different and there are many different ways you have to do things but I wouldn’t consider it anymore difficult than our level design before, just a different way of doing it 😇 It’s very exciting, when we show some of our new projects off, I think everyone will be very excited to see what is coming 😎

@TeamKillMedia you guys said that the next project will be more open world....if that going to be the case...what technology and resources you guys are thinking of using or have in mind...because coming from code violet to more open...thats a huge jump

I can officially say that I’ve hit 100% and got the Platinum trophy for @TeamKillMedia’s Code Violet. I’m eager to see where Violet Sinclair’s story leads to in the future with Ultraviolet. Until then, I’ll have to find something else to bide my time.

2 other things we are upgrading: We are also moving our entire material pipeline to using the new Substrate material system in UE5.7 which is just mind blowing on the things you can do with materials. Even the way light interacts with it is superior to the previous PBR material system 😎 And we will be using Wwise for all audio in this next game which will allow us to greatly improve our audio on all levels 😇
As far as what I can talk about, we have already moved to the next version of the engine, UE5.7, CV was made on 5.5 and then moved to 5.6 and there are a massive amount of improvements in 5.7 vs 5.6. Code Ultraviolet is going to take place in an open world map that connects all the majors parts of the game together so, things like the new Nanite voxel foliage will be used. Right now, we are getting all the fundamentals in place; Violet will be more mobile and gameplay will be more aggressive, more enemies, more enemies types, returning similar weapons and new ones 😇 We are testing and experimenting with a lot of different things, one being vehicle driving for the change to the open world style map. We are hoping to have something to show by this summer if all goes smoothly 😎 This new installment is going to be massive and more intense 😎 In the meantime, anyone who has things they’d like to see or feedback for this next game, let us know 😇 we take everything into consideration 🤩
