"Growing up, whatever was in season, we played. I loved soccer. We pitched horseshoes, played softball, volleyball, and dodgeball. I played softball in the morning and baseball in the afternoon. Sublette Park and Tower Grove Park, we played there; We used to play at Creve Coeur Lake, too. Wherever a field was open, we played in it. I sold the "St. Louis Globe–Democrat" newspaper, and the Cardinals left-fielder Joe Medwick would always stop at my corner. The papers were only 3 cents then, and he’d give me a nickel and say: “Keep the change." 'Ducky' Medwick was my favorite, you know, my favorite ballplayer." Yogi Berra. "If my father was alive to hear that, he’d turn over in his grave." Yogi Berra.

I know Fred and myself are not the celebrities that Sarah Sanders is. I have tried to get her to come, I am not sure she will make it because she only had about 2 months of notice and has really only helped cronies and political profiteers. We have a lot to speak on, fiscal responsibilities, the 1.2% tax decrease, economic development, grocery tax, the affordability of Arkansans, the 87% teacher satisfaction, state retirement funds, Medicaid, women's health, Infant mortality, data centers, wind turbines, and solar panels, education, property taxes, the wasted mega prison, crime rate, recidivism programs, snap, TRANSPARENCY, Infrastructure, budget priorities, and fair elections with 3 million dollars' worth of DARK MAILERS. She more than likely won't come protect her platform, which I hope speaks volumes to the people she is supposed to represent. She needs to come to face a guy that isn't afraid of her unchristian character of trying to destroy reputations when she doesn't get her way. "Come On"

**Traces Of Texas Tech** A photo of Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney leaping in the air in a 1980s Gabe Rivera Era Texas Tech football jersey. Despite years of searching, I've dug up surprisingly little information about how the image came to be. It appears to have been shot as a promotional photo for a tour in the mid-to-late 1980s, based on the style of the jersey. While some fans have claimed Paul’s wife Linda took the picture, most sources credit renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. The background skyline has always looked like Dallas to me, though I’ve never found confirmation of the exact location. As for the jersey itself, accounts differ: some say it was a gift from a fan, while others claim McCartney specifically requested it. Most likely, he wore it as a quiet tribute to Lubbock—the hometown of one of his greatest heroes, Buddy Holly. McCartney didn’t make an official visit to Lubbock until his 2014 concert at the United Supermarkets Arena. That said, locals have told me he made a private trip to West Texas while working on the film The Real Buddy Holly Story, stopping by Buddy’s grave. It’s very possible he picked up the jersey during that unpublicized visit. A cool, slice of Texas Tech lore intersecting with rock-and-roll royalty.

I say NO to federal ownership of Spirit Airlines. The Trump Administration wants to spend $500,000,000 of the taxpayer’s money to own a bankrupt, failing airline. In 2023 the Biden Administration blocked a merger for Jet Blue to buy Spirit. This would have been the best solution. Now the best solution is to let Spirit go under and have its assets auctioned off. We need free-market competition in air travel, not state-owned airlines like in Russia, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Syria, and Libya. cato.org/blog/spirit-airline

It’s pretty simple: If your member of Congress votes to extend FISA 702 without a warrant requirement, then vote that person out. That member of Congress doesn’t take their oath to uphold the Constitution seriously, doesn’t care about you, and is unfit to serve.

UPDATED REPORT: 🚹FRISCO ISD REVERSES COURSE - WILL HONOR AUSTIN METCALF AT GRADUATION Just weeks ago, I reported on a growing controversy surrounding Frisco Independent School District and whether they would do the right thing for Austin Metcalf - the student who was tragically k*lled on April 2, 2025 at a FISD high school track meet. At the time, there were serious concerns. This is the same district that faced intense pressure from activist groups like Next Generation Action Network and Freedmen Legal Fund - and ultimately allowed Karmelo Anthony to receive a diploma despite failing to meet attendance requirements and facing eligibility issues under district policy. So the question was simple: Would they show that same willingness to act
when it came to honoring the victim? At first, the answer appeared to be no. I have now spoken directly with Austin Metcalf’s father, and he confirmed that Frisco Independent School District initially planned to handle this quietly - awarding Austin his diploma without even saying his name at graduation. But now — after pressure, scrutiny, and persistence — there has been a change of course. Frisco ISD WILL posthumously award Austin Metcalf his diploma AND publicly honor him by saying his name during the graduation ceremony. It matters to his family. It matters to the community. And it matters for the integrity of a district that was on the verge of getting this completely wrong. This should have been the decision from the beginning! But in the end, they chose to honor a life that was taken far too soon. And Austin Metcalf’s name will be heard
