Buckle up Drupal folks - this has the trappings of a big one. Get yourself up to date and ready to release quickly. While hosts can/should mitigate at the WAF layer, that's not a backstop to rely on for the long term.
Upcoming highly critical release on May 20, 2026 - PSA-2026-05-18 Read more: drupal.org/psa-2026-05-18

To check if your Google Workspace has been compromised by the same tool that compromised Vercel: 1. Go to admin.google.com/ac/owl/list… - This is Google Admin Console > Security > Access and Data Control > API Controls > Manage app access > Accessed Apps 2. Filter by ID = 110671459871-30f1spbu0hptbs6… - This is the ID of the compromised OAuth app If you see an app after filtering, you have potentially been compromised

Kudos to @AnthropicAI for doing the right thing and standing up for the responsible and ethical use of AI. Not allowing these models to be used to make life and death decisions, subvert democracy, and trample on our constitutional rights is honorable.

This is huge for anyone selling AI services to businesses. What Cowork plugins unlocks: • Custom agent setups per department (sales, marketing, ops) • Integrations with existing company tools • Team-specific workflows that actually get adopted • A reason for enterprises to pay for implementation help The companies announcing these features aren't building the implementations. That's your job now.

Gotta love buying a ton of Super Bowl gear for the family within minutes after the @Seahawks won the NFC Championship, only for @Fanatics to not deliver them before the game even though it was billed as "guaranteed delivery". Their monopoly over sports gear needs to end.

This is great advice for anyone trying to understand the current business climate and why getting to market is better than being perfect.

I don't understand why squash merging is not the default on GitHub. The other options make no sense, and just slow things down. Similarly, it's confusing that people *still* use `git merge`. It makes everything so complicated. Always rebase, never merge.

As a proud (now former) member of the Data Privacy and Advisory Committee (DPIAC) it's incredibly sad to see these committees be disbanded permanently. I served on the committee for 6 years under multiple administrations and the work done was anything but partisan. 🧵
New: @Sec_Noem last week eliminated 8 DHS advisory committees, including the Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council, which provides the legal basis for groups of critical infrastructure operators to meet and discuss security threats. Confirming @johnnysaks130

I hope that report ends up seeing the light of day as it is a very deep insightful look into the future of privacy and our advice as to how the Privacy Office can be a bastion of truth and transparency while offering important protections for every person in the nation.

I'm truly proud to have served alongside those on the committee and look forward to working alongside those members again in the future. I also stand ready as ever to help DHS Privacy Office in any capacity possible to deliver on the mission to keep our nation safe.

Been coding with @AnthropicAI to build a custom Drupal module and it's failing miserably. Not sure if this is a good sign that AI isn't coming for coding jobs yet, or that Drupal is so complex one of the best AI models can't get it right.

And here’s the root of the issue: Matt thinks the success of WordPress is his alone and as such he should be the beneficiary of it all. Open Source may have leaders, but it’s built by a community. It’s the community and the supporting businesses that make it grow.
Replying to @photomatt
It’s an imperfect metaphor, but play with it in your mind. Understand why WordPress has outpaced other proprietary and open source alternatives, many of which have better functionality in many areas. And maybe listen to the person that did it rather than armchair quarterbacking?

It reminds me of the story of Yertle the Turtle that I used to read to my kids. In it, King Yertle wants to grow his kingdom and does so by stacking more turtles under him. They’re just there to support his rise and help his kingdom grow (or so he thinks in his mind).

In the end though, the stack of turtles crumbles and Yertle is left the king of the mud. His “kingdom” gone. If open source leaders look down at the community supporting them like King Yertle did his turtles, it’s only a matter of time before it all comes falling down.
