You need to understand that you are probably 2-3 months away from changing the trajectory of your life forever Head down for 2-3 months and the results will be great, but what's even greater is the type of person you end up becoming There is a big difference between a person that can go head down for 2-3 months and a person that can't The only way to be that person is to do it. You have nothing to lose. Literally nothing to lose All to gain.

If i'm a founder of a seed - series c start up And i'm hiring for an AE, there are really 3 things i'm looking for here (in order): 1. It factor. Trust your gut, you can tell when someone has it and when someone doesn't 2. Good quota attainment and success at previous companies. Ideally, dig in here during the interview process. Ideally, multiple promos at 1 or 2 stints and a couple 3 year stints 3. Domain expertise. Not needed but a really nice

Biggest difference between a successful entrepreneur and someone scared to take the leap: - The confidence to figure it the fuck out Plain and simple. Once you do it, you understand. The main thing separating people from taking the plunge is the fear of failing Once you are in the arena.. ur back is against the wall There is a good chance you rise to the occasion if you have a good idea Massive action often times solves for everything Then get more strategic as you go But massive action is the key

Left my job in Tech Sales about a year go to launch a recruiting firm for Tier 1 VC-backed startups Took abut 3 months of working 65 hours a week to see any results Fast forward to today, we are over 100 placements at the hypest start-ups in SF & NYC Most of these are in Sales, Ops/Strategy and forward-deployed engineering Biggest lesson in running this business has been that Action trumps everything Even immense action in the not-so-perfect direction will probably yield you above average results... If you are looking to work for the best start ups in the country or hire the best talent in the country Reach out to me We are just getting started Onwards

The key to landing offers in Tech Sales & really in any role for that matter: - Know ur shit about the company you're talking to and show them that you have a genuine understanding and passion/respect for what they are building This is especially true if you are interviewing at a start up Nothing is more important in your interview process than conveying that you believe in the product they are building, and that you have a true understanding of the space they are building in Doing your HW on this is also the easiest way for you to know if you are really interested in the company
