On lui demande notamment sa méthode d'écriture. Il nous dit ceci : «Je prends des notes, dans des cahiers que je garde toujours avec moi, et sur mon téléphone de plus en plus. A la fin de chaque journée, je m’assois devant mon ordinateur portable, même dans ma petite caravane, et je les retravaille. Cela fait partie de ma routine. Avant de m’endormir, je dois écrire tout ce qui s’est passé. J’ai commencé par un Google Docs et, au bout de deux ans, j’avais atteint la taille maximale, soit plus d’un million de caractères. Alors j’ai tout transféré sur Word. J’ai passé environ deux semaines à relire mes notes en surlignant ce qui me semblait essentiel, puis j’ai imaginé une structure. Vous devez décider par où commencer et déterminer l’importance à accorder à chaque épisode.
