Matthew Boyd has had a setback in his recovery and will not start in San Francisco. He threw a bullpen yesterday and experienced shoulder soreness. Boyd said that as his workload picked up, he wasn't bouncing back like he should. Craig Counsell hopes that this is minor, and Boyd can get back on the mound quickly. As for his spot in the rotation, "it's likely Javy will be involved."
