My Christmas is ruined. Had to chuck out my Billy Wilder, Bilko, Woody Allen, Car 54 and Seinfeld DVDs. Marx Bros and Ernst Lubitsch box sets. So many books by Philip Roth and Saul Bellow. The Will Eisner comics. Oy vey! The Will Eisner comics! Irish antisemites have it tough.
Any Irish person who considers Father Ted a better sitcom than Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm or Bilko is an antisemite. Now that’s a slur I could really buy into.
I see we're all antisemites now. Didn't take long for the anti-Irish 'white monkey' motif to make an appearance either. Pathetic. This is what happens when you accuse a bully of bullying. They bully you.
Shamrock Rovers are playing a huge ECL game tonight. I never dared to dream of days like these - and here we are. Respect to everyone who got us to this magical place.
Finally got around to watching Saltburn. It's basically an ode to Tony Blair's vision of Britain. Which is just as repulsive and self-obsessed as its entitled forebears' version, while lacking any of their dysfunctional charm. Oh, and Barry Keoghan has a glorious arse.
Yet another fantastic @arcadefire gig. It was a privilege to be in Malahide Park last night to hear Funeral from start to finish. And the second set was quite a trip too. Deadly!
I know I'm late with this, but well done to @jeremycorbyn for retaining his seat in the UK elections. There'll be at least one socialist voice in Westminster.
WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY was released 53 years ago today. One of the most beloved family films ever made and among the most popular works of Gene Wilder, the making of story is like entering a world of pure imagination…

Have to say that France should've won. Decent tune, great performance. No bullshit. Just a singer walloping a song out of the park, which is what a song contest should be all about.
