The most intelligent guy in my secondary school set is currently in a remote village, just doing his best to get by. Pascal was exceptional. Academics, sports, social activities, tech; whatever it was, he stood out. He was our class rep, later senior prefect, team captain, atilogwu dance leader, best 100m sprinter…any thing you can think of, he was the best amongst us. He was one of those rare students who handled both Art and Science subjects simultaneously till waec time and he still come out on top. Any Scored below 85 must be a mistake from the teacher…he was that good. After secondary school, this guy disappeared from the radar. While the rest of us stayed connected through Facebook and our class WhatsApp group, nobody could reach him. Years later, we found out he had relocated to the village. Apparently, he struggled to gain admission into higher institution and eventually stopped trying. As a class, we have made efforts to encourage him and help him get back on track, but he insists he’s okay where he is. Maybe he is. But those of us who knew him can’t help feeling he was capable of so much more. This is the kind of person you would bet on to graduate with first-class honours and collect awards every semester…that boy was a first class material. Life just didn’t favour him…or so we think The race really, is not to the swift.

The first time I tried entering Molue was in Lagos. Can’t remember the area but it was somewhere around Pen Cinema in Agege I stood in the bus stop with a friend and some other persons waiting for the molue. I noticed people pacing around, some stretching their hands and legs like some sort of marathon race was about to start…everyone was so focused on the road. I come dy wonder whether na impatience abi dem dy hurry. Toh, I lock up. Then we sighted the bus, like 50 meters away, and I noticed people began to adjust their backpacks, and pull up their trousers, I became more confused…Na fight? I know it must be a rush, but guy, the molue is big enough na, and it has 2 entrances…so what is doing this ones? While I waited for the bus to get to me, other people including my friend started moving towards the bus that haven’t even stopped. I followed them o. The bus only slowed down a bit and before I could lift one leg up, it continued moving and people were flying inside like Spider-Man. Fear catch me once. I quickly left the door for them. I started jogging beside the molue thinking it will eventually stop completely. Omo it didn’t stop o and people continued flying inside. My friend was already in and was stretching his hand for me to hold so he can pull me in…which kind WWE style be that, I refused. Heavy cusses were just flying left and right. Pure Lagos sound track 😂 Then I heard one thick and angry Yoruba shout behind me, I didn’t need any interpreter to know the person is telling me to get out of his way before he slaps my head. I quickly stopped chasing the molue o. My friend jumped down and was trying to explain how to jump inside molue. I gave him my bag to hold fess, while I sat on a slab to regain my breathe…all my body was shaking. Omo I never see where bus no dy stop o. We abandoned the journey o.

Why do some men believe a vagina becomes ‘loose’ after sleeping with 20 different partners, but not after sleeping with the same person 20 times??

Which do you think would affect the price of a car more: mileage or number of previous owners?

The problem with some intelligent people is most of them are not smart, they look down on some creative things when it’s not book related and many of them are introverted and don’t get to meet a lot of people outside where they are, sadly people like that don’t really go far.

One time, A man in my community uprooted a mango tree that belonged to the community. He took it home and planted it in his backyard as his own. Today, whenever anyone wants to eat a mango, they go to his house to pluck one. He has been complaining ever since. Do you understand this story or you need me to explain it better?

Churches have never organized prayers for low sperm count, it’s usually only about women facing infertility. Why is that?

Brilliant people never make it in life, I don't know why but it has always been so, or I should say brilliant people don't really care about getting rich, they give up too soon, they get tired fast, they don't trying when they don't get things easy as they always do. This is the fact.

Witnessed two stories like this over the years. One was able to bounce and graduated at 41. The other stoped trying. When I say brilliant, I mean exceptionally brilliant guys, life just happened to get in their way too much
