Zack: "Nigel Farage is a sore loser and he just lost an election badly" Anyone also notice how hostile this interview was from the Sky presenters.

Ventilation and air quality in education and childcare settings, a new guidance from 🇬🇧 department of education. UK adopts the global standard for schools: CO2 level must be < 800ppm. The challenge is to make this possible everywhere. H/T @SafeAirSchoolUK gov.uk/government/publicatio…

Exactly the right approach WM. The £/pupil is the important metric. Harris CEO = £12/pupil, Leigh = £18/pupil on 2024 salaries. The real scandal is with much smaller trusts still paying large salaries. There are trusts where the CEO salary is far more per pupil than these…
Pedantic point, but Harris listed here as sixth-biggest academy trust, presumably based on no of schools.I go on pupil numbers, more clearly linked to income and staff nos, which has long put it 2nd. Best-paid academy boss earns £530k after £15k pay rise schoolsweek.co.uk/best-paid-…

Smart, because they understand risk and how to mitigate it. Independent thinkers, because they often go against the social norm. Highly resistant to social and / or peer pressure.
What is your opinion on individuals who continue to wear masks in 2025?

This is exactly what happens when a novel seasonal influenza strain meets a population with Covid-induced immune dysregulation; it's not 'like Covid again', it's the ongoing and continuous effects of Covid. bbc.com/news/articles/crmdvk…

After the video I posted last week about the motherhood penalty, and how the invisible load expected of mums has seeped into the workload issues in a female-dominated profession, this just takes it further. Teacher maternity pay compared to the rest of the public sector makes

Here's a tragedy: A teacher has recently had a Covid infection. It's the third time that they know of. They have, once again, been very ill. They are concerned about the impact of multiple infections on their health. They feel their baseline health has deteriorated. 1/🧵

Why do I keep speaking out about Covid? Why do I think clean indoor air is imperative for schools? Let me tell you a story. I was 46 when I first caught Covid. It changed my life and turned our family's world upside down. 🧵 1/

GP thanked us for masking when I had to take no.1 yesterday. Me “It’s not Covid.” GP “How do you know?” Me “I’ve tested him twice.” GP “Wow.” Seems almost certainly flu. GP “It’s rampant atm, esp in young ppl.”

Surging aggression. Language delays. Developmental issues. Teachers & parents report major changes in children Lockdowns are often blamed. But many lockdowns were short (e.g. UK) So what else changed in early childhood since 2020? I’m a neurologist. Let's talk COVID & brains🧵 x.com/JamesThrot/status/1955…

Then why don’t you sell a chopper and a few cars and buy it and save it from closure then? Read their full statement on their website - they’ve been struggling since 2015 according to that.
Well done @RachelReevesMP @Keir_Starmer after 183 years of being a school #MountStMarys #TheMount in 6 months you have managed to shut it leaving 500 and kids and their teachers with no school to go to and parents desperately trying find places in schools in the state system which we all have to pay for through more tax. In your constituency @Louise_Jones_MP hope your proud of your achievement!

Such a missed opportunity in schools for impactful change.
Why don't teachers consider the air quality in classrooms when there are so many airborne viruses and we are in an ongoing pandemic? I spoke to my school about benefits of improving air quality. They say we are following guidance. Yet lots of sickness. If we can improve why not?

Colleague’s child (in 20s I believe) currently in hospital on IV abx with pneumonia. Docs actually told them that they’ve seen a noticeable increase in this since Covid has been around. And people wonder why I still 😷 Hoping that they pull through and make full recovery.

My MP has agreed to meet with me to discuss the ongoing Covid pandemic. Hit me with the best peer-reviewed studies I should take with me for him to read please. The US Marines and the UK Biobank brain-shrinking study are what I have so far.

This is me playing extreme devil’s advocate but it does seem ironic that when there was a threat that the NHS would collapse in 2020, profound societal changes were introduced. Now that it is absolutely collapsing, it appears the new protocol is simply to watch it happen

A classic SG rant. Every word 🔥
At the risk of sounding like a broken record... 1. Lockdown is an extreme response. There should only have been one. 2. The fact that there was >1 is due to policy failure and meddling from eejit GBD types, PRE-VACCINE🤬💔 3. Kids are NOT invulnerable. thetimes.com/article/5a939c7…
