I remember when they changed the law and I thought it was a pathetic knee jerk reaction to a woman who came here specifically so her kid could be a NZ citizen. I'm still pissed off about it. Now we see what the consequences are and it's cruel.
Please reconsider this decision @ChrisPenknz this is ridiculous. He was born here, schooled here & only knows New Zealand. Govt used its discretion with Candice Owens to overturn that ruling. So we know you can use it. Show the government has heart. stuff.co.nz/nz-news/36058207…

On LBC the other day, Tory MP Gregg Smith & ex-Vote Leave staffer James Starkie claimed that Brexit has made our immigration system fairer 🤔

A real Brexit benefit. That's sarcasm by the way
British egg alternative startup Oggs shut its London factory and moved production to Europe because of Brexit. The move enabled Oggs to win their first US customer – a multi-state drive-through food chain Relocating production simplified Oggs’ supply chain by eliminating Brexit-related export complexities. The move resulted in some redundancies, but strengthened Oggs’ operations, positioning it for international growth. Meanwhile, Oggs’ Whole Egg Alternative 330ml has disappeared from Sainsbury’s, and its Aquafaba Egg Substitute 200ml is missing from Asda. A selection of its egg-free cakes remain widely available. archive.ph/2025.01.17-052950…

No one should buy from this gross company.
This man has just made millions from thousands of bar workers grafting over Christmas and New Year on just above the minimum wage. The same man who was sunning himself in the Maldives weeks before his company abandoned the real living wage. #JamesWatt has absolutely no shame.

NZ Taxpayers Union: Gvt spending 43.6% of GDP this year. 41% last year 35.9% in 2017 But hey, National are better at managing money than Labour. Bullshit! To quote the words of one of ‘Dad’s Army’ characters “We’re doomed”.

This is typical of the decisions made by the New Zealand coalition of chaos govt. Despite the promise to base decisions on evidence, they are doing the opposite. Policy based on reckons. newsroom.co.nz/2024/10/30/no…

Simeon Brown is a dickhead. I agree with the Greens and Labour. If this is the basis for the appointment of a observer, then there are plenty of councils out there in need of it. This is a pure distraction. Govt punches down rnz.co.nz/news/political/531…
