The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announces £14bn support on business rates over the next 5 years (with no details).
Whilst this is welcome, on its own it will not save our nation’s #pubs & UK #hospitality businesses nor get them through this winter crisis. More help is vital.

Last week I led a debate in Parliament on the staffing crisis in Britain's hospitality and tourism industry.
If this is not addressed as a matter of urgency, then we will see a catastrophic collapse of hundreds of businesses, causing immense hardship and heartbreak for many.

.@MolsonCoors notion that @nationalbrewery can be moved to Town House and Bass House is absurd. The displays housed in Victorian brewery include moving models, old brewery vehicles, steam locos, drays, the mighty shire horse stables. They need a large site. Leave NBC where it is!

Closure of National Brewery Centre with 6 weeks notice. @eaststaffsbc claim they were "unaware" of @MolsonCoors planned relocation of its head offices to the NBC even though the Council are purchasing MC's current site the High Street offices housing 500 employees. (!!!!!) Contd.

A question for @eaststaffsbc: Does @MolsonCoors need planning permission to convert the National Brewery Centre into offices for its new HQ. The brewing giant, Carling, Cobra, have been asked the question but haven't replied. They say they need the buildings & parking facilities.
