I'm actually really enjoying mastodon, so I'm spending most of my time there. I have grabbed tessiselated on Hive as well

finding out that someone who talks about harm a lot who ive been peripherally aware of since shakesville is a 15 year lockheed martin nepotism staff member was fucking hilarious but maybe i dont need to know so much about nobodies in the middle of texas

The way some people can't grok how twitter will fail remind me of how some people can't grok how climate collapse will happen Complex systems fail in complex ways - but you take away the ability of a system to absorb small failures?

Because people and emergent social systems are *also* complex systems. Lindy West abandoning Twitter didn't end the platform, but it was around the time that the celebrities had all Twitter interactions managed by their people

The social system here changed. And this will change it again. People get half as much of interest, half as much interaction? Some of them leave, and those that are left feel lonelier
