I canāt tell you how many projects Iāve seen done MVP style that are incredibly over engineered and miss even the bare minimum MVP feature set and any semblance of quality UI/UX.

Most āproduct teamsā just canāt seem to get the difference between MVP and something battle hardened and longer lived.

So tragic all the money wasted on custom app dev these days built by teams with little to no thought with the customer experience in mind. Worse is this kind of āthoughtā put solely in the hands of engineers. The two worlds donāt mix well...engineering and customer experience.

Unfortunately the biggest issue is that most of these āproduct teamsā over index on top notch engineering skills with little regard for UI/UX skills and oftentimes are lacking these individuals entirely in their product delivery teams.

Reviewed two separate projects this week one in the 50-100k range thatās supposedly an MVP solution and is a total mess and another that is 500k-1M that canāt get traction for the same reason.

The important takeaway, for me at least, is to try to be more positive internally, to surround myself with people who inspire and lift me up, to enjoy the journey, and to never give up!
