Texas Mustangs Owners Josh Sanders and Trent Reynolds today announced that Ryan Rogers, head coach of the Lake Travis Cavaliers High School Baseball Program, will be joining the organization as Director of Youth and Player Development, responsible for the oversight of the youth program and developmental path for players at all levels youth through high school within the Texas Mustangs Baseball Club.
Rogers will be supported in this newly-created position by staff from Texas Mustangs Baseball Club, including owners Sanders and Reynolds.
Rogers begins his 19th year of coaching and his 4th as the HeadĀ CoachĀ for the Cavaliers winning the 2024 and 2025 District 26-6A Championship where he receivedĀ Coach of the Year honors both times. The 2025 campaign culminated with a trip to the State Semi Finals. Rogers was previously the Varsity Assistant for the previous five seasons where he helped the Cavaliers win the district championship every year, and reach the State Semi Finals in 2019 for the first time in 6A.Ā Ā
He began his career in his hometown of Wichita Falls, TXĀ as the Varsity Assistant for the Wichita Falls Coyotes.Ā After a six year stint with the Coyotes, he took over as the head coach at Bowie High School in Bowie, TXĀ for four years.Ā Under his leadership, the Jackrabbits made the playoffs three out of four years, winning district in two of those years, culminating in a trip to the Regional Semi-FinalsĀ in 2016.Ā While at Bowie he was the district coach of the year twice and also the Times Record News Red River Diamond Dozen Coach of the Year for 2015 & 2016.
Coach Rogers has been married to his wife Stacie for 18 years.Ā She is a Special Education teacher in LTISD as well.Ā They have two kids, Adelyn (14), and Rhett (10).Ā
