Now I truly understand in my bones why all the surveys say ER has one of the highest rates of burnout. Having experience of 10 years and dealing with a cycle of dopey nurses freshout of school bc hospitals refuse to pay for experienced nurses. Just one of many problems.

I’ve worked in many EDs and the most miserable to work at are the ones wit too many women and beta boys. A workplace needs balanced energy. Not every nurse needs to be a girlboss. I’m sorry if that’s sexist but too many women just gossip unbearably. Don’t come at me I’m venting.
