Someone saw my designs from last year and started laughing.
Honestly? I laughed too.
Looking at them now, I can't believe I was once proud of some of those designs but it reminded me of a conversation I had around that same period that changed my view.

And these lessons are not for just designers, founders face the same challenge.
When you're close to your business, it's easy to believe everything is already good enough. The fastest way to grow is having someone else point out the gaps you can no longer see.

To the founders I work with today:
You're not getting the designer who created those designs, you're getting the result of a year of feedback, learning, iteration, research, mistakes, and growth.
And, a year from now, I'll look at today's work and realize I've grown more.

My favourite session was the Law & Tech session.
As a law student, I enjoyed the conversations around data privacy, compliance, and the legal responsibilities that come with building products.

These 3 things shape users' opinions of your startup in seconds:
- Visual Consistency
- Visual Hierarchy
- Credibility Signals
They all help them answer one question: "Can I trust this?"
For startups especially, small design decisions have a huge impact on perception.
