As a former Stripe who coordinated incident comms many times as the process evolved, this automated “Big Red Button” tool was incredibly useful! Other places I’ve worked sorely needed a system or tooling like this. It’s so important, especially for user-facing incidents.
Few people saw Stripe grow from 25 to >3000 people.
Fortunately for us, prodigious engineer @antifuchs sat down to chat tool-building.

- the surprising benefit of restricting your product

Just applied to @_collab_lab, and as I was reading more about it, I noticed that at least 3 of my fellow #summerhackers from @LambdaSchool have previously participated! Fingers crossed that it bodes well for my chances. 🤞 Seems like an awesome opportunity.
I've been pairing with @asheeshlaroia on some open source code projects. Deployed a live website/app today for the first time since I left #LambdaSchool in 2019. I had forgotten how quick/easy it is with @Netlify! ⚡️
I did that thing you're not supposed to do. I learned to code, then I stopped coding for a while. 🙀 Just a couple months, but now I have to go look at previous projects & documentation to remember how to do stuff that was just in my brain before. Don't be like me, friends.
Today at #LambdaSchool we're covering advanced form management, using #Formik and #Yup. My brain wants to combine their names into "FormYuk." As in: making forms without these libraries = yuk 😜
I was just looking up @osbridge to see if it was coming up, and realized it ended last year! And @AlterConf is apparently over, too.😢 So what other inclusive, collaborative, humble tech conferences are happening in the PNW these days?
Skill update! After 2 weeks at #LambdaSchool, I now know how to:
* Make responsive websites, built to design specs
* Make desktop websites mobile-friendly
* Style them using LESS (with variables & mixins & functions) to save time! 🙌
Next up: JS. 🚀 Learning is cool 😎
Haikus from the middle of week 2 at @LambdaSchool:
Make websites daily
Haven't flipped a table yet
Feel my brain growing
Learn it, practice it
Complete a stretch goal or two
Now you know the thing!
Spend an hour coding
Spend the next two debugging
Watch that syntax, man
