This morning at the #NANSaturdayActionRally, I spoke about the difference between faith and hope and why faith must be accompanied by action. We discussed the state of our nation, the importance of protecting our right to vote as early voting begins in NYC, and why civic engagement remains critical in this moment. I also shared updates on National Action Network's new House of Justice, our continued fight for equality and economic justice, and the upcoming March on Washington in August as we continue organizing for the challenges ahead. These are not ordinary times, and they require ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Watch the full message on National Action Network's YouTube and Facebook pages, and join us every Saturday at 9am ET. instagram.com/reel/DZiP6FBFb…

Though weather conditions prevented me from joining in person, I was honored to deliver the keynote address virtually at the 2026 Rainbow PUSH Coalition Convention under the leadership of Yusef Jackson. As we celebrate the enduring legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson, we are reminded that the fight for justice, equality, voting rights, and economic opportunity is far from over. His life's work helped transform this nation and inspired generations of leaders, including myself. We must continue to carry that torch forward with the same courage, conviction, and commitment that Rev. Jackson has demonstrated throughout his life. The mission remains. The struggle remains. And together, we PUSH forward.

A long night of travel may test the body, but discipline strengthens the spirit. Working out is not an option, it is part of the assignment. When you keep your focus, keep your plan, and keep your purpose in front of you, you don’t make excuses, you make progress.

Landed in VA, on my way to speak at the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference in Hampton, Virginia. This is an important moment to talk with ministers from across the country about where we are and where we must go. The pulpit must continue to be a voice for truth, justice, and hope in this critical hour.

On my way to speak at the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference in Hampton, Virginia. The Conference is one of the nation’s most historic and influential gatherings of clergy, faith leaders, and changemakers. The conference has been shaping ministry, leadership, and the Black church for generations, and I’m looking forward to participating as we continue the work of faith, justice, and service. #HUMC26 #HamptonMinistersConference #FaithInAction

Earlier today on #MorningJoe, we ended the show with a conversation about the #NYKnicks and what would be a pivotal Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. After attending Game 3, I did say that I believed that the Knicks would take control of the series before heading to San Antonio. Looks like that prediction wasn't too far off. As I mentioned on the show, filmmaker and lifelong Knicks fan Spike Lee told me on @PoliticsNation that it would be “Knicks in six.” After tonight’s victory and a commanding 3-1 series lead, New York is one step closer to ending a championship drought that has lasted more than five decades. The Garden is electric, the city is alive, and Knicks fans everywhere have a lot to celebrate tonight. Let’s go Knicks. #NBAFinals

Today on #MorningJoe, I spoke with journalist, writer, and host of the #RebelSpirit podcast, Akilah Hughes (@AkilahObviously), about the ongoing debate surrounding Confederate symbols, and what values we choose to elevate in our communities. As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, we discussed why the symbols we celebrate matter and how monuments, mascots, and historical narratives shape the way future generations understand our history. Akilah Hughes reflected on Kentucky’s complex Civil War history, Governor Andy Beshear’s leadership in removing a Jefferson Davis statue from the state capitol, and the importance of confronting painful chapters of our past rather than glorifying them. History should be remembered, but not romanticized. The question is not whether we acknowledge the past, but what lessons we choose to carry forward as we build a more inclusive future.
