Lagos and Ogun have set a positive example by fielding capable women as deputy governors for the upcoming elections. It would be encouraging to see Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, and Ondo also consider qualified female leaders as deputy governors in future elections.
This is helping to bring more women to the decision making table, and it strengthens governance through diverse perspectives and inclusive leadership. This serves as a good example of promoting gender balance in public service.
