Leaf fans just have to realize that they are an ageing low to mid team who’s contending window has closed and it’s time to change everything from management on down. They’re not fast, they’re not creative and they clearly don’t have any stars who can assert their will.

I’m tired of cheering for a weak team who repeatedly get run out of their own barn. @MapleLeafs are a passive collection of losers in a league of aggressive winners. Year after year we see the same thing. The book is out on them. Pressure them and they fold.

@Steve_Dangle @AdamWylde here's why @JesseBlake is wrong about his Hat-Trick take. It assumes that the existence of H-T isn't decided until the end of the game. But that's not what happens. A third goal gets scored, the announcers call it a H-T and the fans throw hats.

If the player scores another goal, the announcers don't recant the H-T and the fans don't demand their hats back. What really happens is that upon scoring the third goal, the player has secured a H-T. If the player scores again then they have a H-T AND added another goal.

Once scored, a H-T can't be taken away. So they have a hat-trick and a 4 goal game. Both can be true at the same time.
