Safety and security of Universities is key to a fruitful learning environment. A recent violent event in Brandon has shook that environment. Today @BUSU37 and BUFA joined forces in a rally to the President's Office to emphasize the need for safety and security on our campuses.

With a percentage of 95%, the BUFA membership has ratified our collective agreement. Really big thanks to our negotiating team and Strike action committee for pushing negotiating in the right direction!!

On Monday March 25th, BUFA executive voted unanimously to share the negotiated CA with the members for ratification. Ratification Voting closes Thursday March 28th at Noon. The CA is available on SharePoint for members to peruse.

This morning the BUFA Executive met with members of the Negotiating Team. On the recommendation of the Negotiating Team, the BUFA Executive voted to hold the Strike deadline in place. As of today, our strike deadline remains Sunday, March 3 at 11:59pm. Work continues...
