The government have changed election rules, you may know - we now have to take photo ID with us to the polling stations. It’s another barrier to voting, designedly so. Local elections are about 8 days away and 20% of people in the UK don’t know they need to take photo ID with them (or what ID is valid) - that might exclude 5 million people. Can you share this message among your friends, family and network? We all need to take photo ID on May the 2nd. Details of what is valid can be found here - gov.uk/how-to-vote/photo-id-… The new rules will especially affect young voters, who are less likely to have photo ID.
