Monday night, I was at the bowling alley in Hermitage, TN. I posted some vintage cig ads hanging in the lobby. I was there for a small tournament my teenage son entered. While standing outside for a minute, I thought I heard what sounded like four or five consecutive gunshots nearby. A few minutes later, a couple of Metro Nashville police officers pulled into the parking lot asking if I had seen a kid come through. I had not. I saw this in the news this morning: someone shot the gas station attendant half a block up the road. This has been happening since I came to Nashville in 2001. Nashville convenience store attendants deserve combat pay. Keep your head on a swivel.
